The Snitch 02:39
Three whole days, and I can't remember The reason for this rendezvous It could be the teeth on the floor It could be the three-inch nail in my brain Why don't you pick on Someone your own size? Your reflection Open to no compromise There's something terrible, something noble About your overt dedication You want no sympathy Just to rid all the world of beggars and informants Why don't you pick on Someone your own size? Your reflection Open to... No compromise No compromise No remorse No reprise Why don't you pick on Someone your own size? Your reflection Open to no compromise

You've been gone so long Forgot about the whole thing Took no time at all (To vanish into the crowd) We got you wrong (But we'll figure it out) So long (We're better off now) You were so wrong to break your vow Dear Mr. Winner Would've bought you dinner If it wasn't for the soldiers' dynamite on the tracks Will you be back? We'll become friends We'll make amends in the end Tobacco farmers bring in a lot of cash You've been gone so long Forgot about the whole thing It took no time at all (To vanish into the crowd) We got you wrong (We'll figure it out) So long (We're better off now) You were so wrong to break your vow You were the man You were the chosen one At least, that was the plan Until somebody pulled a gun Months later, you'll find me upstate If you can withstand the food i caught the flu, and it's your fault I wrote you a letter, but you never called back (So vanish into the crowd) We got you wrong (We'll figure it out) So long (We're better off now) You were so wrong to break your vow

Naïve 03:07
I stood on my head I caught every baseball You'd start to see red too If they made you do the things I do One prod is all it takes What have I done? Oh, for goodness sakes! Can't wait to get to the gallows Last time to stomp around Won't even have me in a nearby town Could they be any more shallow? I hate the parade I hate the theatrics I'd rather go down with you under my foot Squish your skull like a watermelon would One prod is all it takes What have I done? Oh, for goodness sakes! Can't wait to get to the gallows Last time to stomp around Won't even have me in a nearby town Could they be any more shallow? Am I callow? Am I callow? Am I naïve? One prod is all it takes What have I done? Oh, for goodness sakes! Can't wait to get to the gallows Last time to stomp around Won't even have me in a nearby town Could they be any more shallow? Am I callow? Am I naïve?

about

This short concept album was written and produced between 2019 and 2020. Through its lyrical content runs a theme of unjust power disparity, as seen through the eyes of three obscure and mysterious, yet very real, historical figures.

"The Snitch" features a guitar solo by Baltimore guitarist Chris Defeo.
